Dr. Lisa Silva is a cum laude graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic. She grew up in Michigan and practiced in Massachusetts before moving to South Carolina, where she has been serving Greenville for the last 10 years.
Dr. Lisa belives that chiropractic care is one of the most important preventative healthcare decisions an individual can make. By being a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, her focus lies in preventing as many spinal and neural conditions as possible while the body is still growing and developing. She views chiropractic care as a partnership between doctor and patient, so expect to make changes. Whether the concern is for yourself or your entire family, let natural chiropractic care work for you.
Dr. Lisa uses the following techniques:
Gonstead Technique - This technique focuses on restoring health and normal balance to the disc that separates the vertebrae. The primary reason that a misaligned bone is unable to correct it self is due to the fact that the disc looses it’s normal integrity, positioning, and nerve function, which in turn causes the subluxation and resulting disc degeneration and or disc herniation. This technique was developed by the late Dr. Clarence Gonstead of Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin, where he practiced and taught his technique for decades. For more information visit www.gonstead.com.
Chiropractic Biophysics - This technique focuses on the correcting the imbalance of an individual's posture, restoring normal and necessary curvature into the spine. This technique is more global including the entire spine and surrounding musculature. Mirror image analysis and correction of the spine includes: adjustments, conservative spinal tractioning, and corrective postural exercises. This technique was developed by Dr.’s Deed & Donald Harrison and is the most research based chiropractic technique in use today having articles printed in various medical journals. Articles are available to the public via www.idealspine.com.
Webster Breech Technique - Is used on expectant mothers who’s baby is in a breeched presentation. This technique is a specific analysis and adjustment that reduces interference to the nervous system, balances the pelvic muscles and ligaments which in turn reduces constraint to the women’s uterus and allows the baby to get into the best possible position for birth. This technique was developed by the late Dr. Larry Webster while he was teaching pediatric chiropractic care at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
